After an inexplicable (and inexcusable) hiatus from music making after completing the Red album, I began a new school year determined to work on music a bit each day before going to class.

I sketched the basic melody of this little instrumental on the first day of school, August 27, 2012. The working title was "New School Year." I didn't think much of it, at first, but as I worked a few more mornings on it, I caught myself humming the melody and decided to complete it.

I like the simplicity of the song and the instrumentation.
